  The Constitution of The Republic of Ireland, according to former Chief Justice Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh (who was also the Fifth President of the Republic of Ireland), is founded on the doctrine of the  tripartite division of powers  of government -- (1) Legislative (Oireachtas), (2) Executive (Government Cabinet Ministers), and (3) Judicial (Courts).
