Ormeau Park Surgery
281 Ormeau Road
Belfast

December 13th
2018
Dear Dr Cheyne,
As I believe you will know Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Paul Bell has sent
me a copy of his letter to you dated November 27th 2018, a "marked up"
photocopy of which I have placed at the following www location:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/ConsultantPsychiatristDrPaulBell/27November2018/Letter.htm
With reference to Dr Bell's recommendation that you arrange for me to
"engage with a voluntary sector counselling organisation", in
connection with the Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that Dr Bell
has now diagnosed me to be suffering from, I wish to request that you please ensure,
before I go to see anybody in the organisation you select on my behalf, that the
therapist I see is
fully aware of the contents of the closely related letter I sent through the
registered post to Dr Bell on November 3rd 2018, a scanned copy of which
can be viewed at:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/ConsultantPsychiatristDrPaulBell/3November2018/RegisteredLetter.html
As can be seen at the address immediately above, the last sentence of my
November 3rd letter to Dr Bell reads as follows: 'Finally, I wish you to know I am hoping that the final
version of your "2nd opinion" assessment will contain
a direct reference to this registered letter please.'
For some reason/s unknown to me, Dr Bell has not made any reference to
my November 3rd 2018 letter to him in his letter to you of November 27th
2018.
I am making the above-mentioned request to you because I am very keen to avoid
having to try and communicate (in an orderly and holistic way) the information
contained in my November 3rd 2018 letter to Dr Bell by word-of-mouth and
memory alone,
as I have found -- many times in the past -- that attempting to do such
things can very easily exacerbate the symptoms of
the Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder I suffer from in major ways. I
trust you will understand that I am very anxious to try and avoid any
more problems of this kind.
I look forward to hearing from you when you have chosen an organisation
you consider to be suitable for me to receive help from for the Complex
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which Dr Bell has now diagnosed me as
suffering from.
Yours sincerely,
William Finnerty.
