RE: THE SECURING OF LOANS AGAINST MY HOME IN COUNTY GALWAY, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

As you may know, it is stated on Page 3, Paragraph 5, of the Pension Credit "Decision Maker's Decision/Determination" set of papers that: "The decision maker determined that the debt to Mr Finnerty's brother and half-sister could not be considered as an encumbrance secured on this property as it is not legally secured on the property.

Some weeks ago I asked my brother (Mr Gerald Finnerty) and half-sister (Ms Marjorie Dolan) if they could provide me with a written statement explaining why they did not have the loans they have provided me with secured against my home in County Galway, as I had urged them to do at the time I started borrowing money from them (which was around March 2007). In response, I have received a "To Whom It May Concern Letter" from them, and a scanned copy of it can now be viewed at the following www location:

Although the Republic of Ireland law-firm of Patrick Hogan & Co has since indicated (last July) that they can now secure the loans in question, the arrangement they offer requires me to have legal representation in Northern Ireland. As can be seen in the July 8th 2019 letter at the www address immediately above, the text includes the following statement: "However, William will need to attend with a firm of Solicitors in Northern Ireland for the purpose of witnessing his signature to the aforementioned documentation and for the purpose of providing him with independent legal advice on the documentation. This requirement is to ensure both parties to the transaction are aware of the irrevocable nature of same." 

Please know that I am unable to meet the requirement of providing Patrick Hogan & Co with the particulars of my solicitor in Northern Ireland on account of the fact that, despite my best efforts over a period of several years, I have not been able to find a law-firm in Northern Ireland willing to take on my case.

Please also know that my more recent efforts to find legal representation in Northern Ireland include the scanned copies of the three letters I sent through the registered post 1) to the former UK Secretary of State for Justice The Rt Hon David Gauke MP, 2) UK Secretary of State for Justice Robert Buckland QC MP, and 3) UK Attorney General Geoffrey Cox QC MP, copies of which can be viewed at the three www addresses immediately below.

Please note that, for technical reasons beyond my control, the dozen or so "Internet Hyperlinks" provided in the "Related Open News Topics" section below will appear as "dead text" in this "Indymedia (Ireland)" comment.
