Mr Anthony Glackin MD FRCSI (Urological Surgeon)
HSE Craigavon Area Hospital

County Armagh
Northern Ireland

Tuesday, February 14th 2017
Dear Mr Glackin,
RE: APPOINTMENT
I have recently received a letter dated February
9th 2017 informing me that I am now due for an
outpatient appointment at your Clinic.
Later today I will place a scanned copy of the
February 9th 2017 letter in question at the
following www location:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/HSE/9February2017/Letter.htm
I wish you to know that I am suffering very
badly at the present time from Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD), and that the symptoms
are so severe that I do not feel I can sensibly
get involved in discussions relating to any
aspect of my health with anybody at the present
time, other than professional therapists who
are trained and qualified to help people who are
suffering from PTSD.
Unfortunately, I have been informed by
Consultant Clinical Psychologist Dr Elizabeth
McMonagle, at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, that
I cannot be provided with the services of a
professional therapist on account of the fact
that I have unresolved legal problems.
Additional information relating to this ban on
“talking therapy” can be found in the email
dated May 26th 2016 I sent to Northern Ireland
First Minister Arlene Foster LL.B, MLA (and
others) on May 26th 2016, a copy of which can be
viewed at the following www location:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/FirstMinisterArleneFosterMLA/26May2016/Email.pdf
I have also written two letters to Dr John
Radcliffe, my present GP, at Meadowlands Surgery
in Newry regarding the difficulties referred to
above. To date, I have not received any reply
from anybody connected with Meadowlands Surgery
to the two letters in question. Scanned copies
of the two registered letters sent by me to Dr
Radcliffe GP, who I understand works in
partnership with Dr J.J. Torney GP at
Meadowlands Surgery, dated April 26th 2016 and
August 1st 2016, can be viewed at the www
locations provided just below:
Registered Letter #1 (April 26th 2016):
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/MeadowlandsSurgery/26April2016/RegisteredLetter.htm
Registered Letter #2 (August 1st 2016):
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/MeadowlandsSurgery/1August2016/RegisteredLetter.htm
Although I do not have any email address for
anybody at Meadowlands Surgery, or for the
Surgery itself, I do have an email address for
the Radiology Department of Daisy Hill Hospital
in Newry, and I have been communicating by email
with Radiology Appointments Officer Bernadette
Hamill at Daisy Hill Hospital in the belief that
she and her colleagues would pass on any
information about my difficulties – as and if
they felt was appropriate -- to Meadowlands
Surgery, and/or to Consultant Clinical
Psychologist Dr Elizabeth McMonagle and
Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Mark McCauley (please
know I have no email addresses for Dr McMonagle
or Dr McCauley either), who have both been
directly involved with my case, and possibly
still are. A copy of one of the emails (dated
June 9th 2016) that I have sent to Bernadette
Hamill, the contents of which are
self-explanatory I feel, can be viewed at the
following www address:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DaisyHillHospital/XrayDept/9June2016/Gmail.html
More recently, I have also mentioned the
difficulties referred to above in a letter I
sent to The Law Society of Northern Ireland on
January 28th 2017, and a scanned copy of that
letter can be viewed at:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/NorthernIrelandLawSociety/28January2017/ScannedRegisteredLetter.htm
Evidence of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder I
am suffering from can be found in the form of a
copy of the "To Whom It May Concern" letter
written by Dr Michael McCavert, who was my GP
when I lived in Omagh some years ago, and which
formed part of my letter to The Northern Ireland
Law Society at the www location just above.
All things considered, I feel it would be best
for me to postpone making an appointment to see
you until after The Law Society of Northern
Ireland have completed the work referred to at
the www location just above. I hope this
postponement will be acceptable to you.
Meanwhile, I feel it might be helpful to let you
know about the contents of a letter dated
October 15th 2012 from Dr John Kilrane, who was
my GP at the time in Loughrea, County Galway.
Please find a copy at the following address:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DrJohnKilraineGP/15October2012/Letter.htm
It is my understanding that the PSA level of
12.4 reported in the letter at the www location
just above, would be considered by many medical
doctors as dangerously high in terms of
indicating the
possibility of the presence of prostate cancer.
Consequently, I believe I am reasonably well
aware of the dangers of not arranging an
appointment just now. However, the ongoing
symptoms of the PTSD I am suffering from are
generally so severe, and so overwhelming, that I
feel I have virtually "lost my life" to them
completely, more or less, for the past 17 years
or so; and, that I should postpone seeing you
for a while longer, in the hope that I might
"get my life back", to some extent at least,
before presenting for surgery.
I have had two sets of blood tests since I moved
to Newry (in July 2015), which were arranged for
me by Dr John Radcliffe GP at Meadowlands
Surgery. Although I do not have the results of
either test to hand just now, I vaguely recall
that the second result was significantly higher
than the 12.4 mentioned above. No doubt Dr
Radcliffe GP would provide you with the exact
levels should you require them, assuming of
course that he has not already done so.
Later today, and for the purpose of making it
easier for you to access the www locations
referred to above, should you wish to view any
of them, I will place a copy of this letter at
the following www location later today:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/HSE/14February2017/Letter.htm
Yours sincerely,
William Finnerty.
