Pain, Learning, and Growth (as in "growing up") ...

"GROWING UP"

"Humanity as a whole" still has an enormous amount of "growing up" to do, it would seem?

Pain is easy to explain really?

"GROWING UP": as individuals, as groups, as communities, as nations, and, most important of all maybe, "growing up" as being part of "Humanity As A Whole"; so that, ideally, each individual member of "Humanity As A Whole" behaves responsibly towards all of the other members, at all times. "Humanity As A Whole" still has an enormous amount of "growing up" to do, it would seem? And, an equally and correspondingly enormous amount of "learning pain" to still work its way through perhaps? Unless, somehow, we can train ourselves, and help each other, to learn more quickly and more efficiently from our mistakes (as well as from our successes)? First though, we, as individuals, need to face up to, and to take ownership of our own personal character defects and shortcomings, and their consequences (which might prove very difficult and painful in some cases), all for the purpose of learning from these past mistakes of ours, and to do all we reasonably can to remedy -- in socially benign ways -- any damage we have have caused others. If enough of us don't, won't, or can't do this, then "we", "we" as part of "Humanity As A Whole", are possibly "done for" as far as our long term future is concerned? We, as in "HUMANITY AS A WHOLE" are, at the present time (March 2016), arguably heading in the direction of SELF-DESTRUCTION, as some would see it?

Academic references exist which suggest that the ancient Celts may well have revered the human brain as a "pars pro toto" type symbol for representing EVERYTHING in the universe: both the material and the non-material (i.e. spiritual);; and, as the brain actually is the instrument most responsible for all perceptions and feelings, such speculations may have considerable merit?

"EVERYTHING": the "hardware and software combined entity", plus the PSU (Power Supply Unit), perceived by the human brain to be so vast, so complex, and so mysterious that it cannot be fully understood or described in an entirely integrated way by the human mind, and which the ancient Celts may have thought of as GOD?
