To:
The
Presiding Judge and all Officers of the Loughrea District Court,
The Courthouse,
District Court Area of Loughrea,
County Galway,
Republic of Ireland.
Wednesday, April 8th 2015.
Dear Presiding Judge and all Officers of the Loughrea District Court,
RE: Case Number 2014/233698 to be heard at the April 8th 2015 Sitting at Loughrea Courthouse
I, William Finnerty, would very much appreciate it if the presiding
Judge, who I understand will be Judge Geoffrey Browne, and all officers of
the Loughrea District Court, would please take note of the set of points
I have listed below:
1) I feel I cannot sensibly attend today's Court Hearing because, since
around 2002, I have been suffering very badly with Complex Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), evidence of which can be found in the attached copy of
the "To Whom It May Concern" letter dated October 28th 2005
from Dr Michael McCavert GP; and,
that attendance at today's Court Hearing would undoubtedly exacerbate
my C-PTSD condition in major ways. This belief is, I understand, shared
by Dr Deirdre Mulryan (Medical Doctor and Psychotherapist at Ballinasloe
Day Hospital), who my half-sister (Marjorie Dolan) spoke with last
Friday (April 3rd 2015). I also understand that Dr Deirdre Mulryan has
written to An Garda Siochana (Republic of Ireland Police) in Loughrea at least once
earlier this year regarding my situation.
2) Myself, my brother (Gerald Finnerty), and my half-sister (Marjorie
Dolan), have all been informed by Guard (Republic of Ireland Policeman)
Brendan Keys (GA 520) that
"under the rules of the District Court"
my brother can go to the Court on my behalf; explain to the Court (in my
absence) the very difficult
situation -- of long standing -- regarding the state of my health; and,
to hand in to the Court a letter from me explaining my ill
health (which is the main purpose of this letter).
3)
This letter is a "follow-up" to my email dated April 2nd 2015 to
Judge Geoffrey Brown, an electronic copy of which can be viewed at:

"Printed and signed copies" of my email dated April 2nd 2015 to
Judge Browne were also sent through the registered post (also on April
2nd 2015) to Judge Geoffrey Browne, and
to Minister for Justice and Equality Ms Frances Fitzgerald TD.
Scanned copies (in PDF format) of the two registered letters dated April
2nd 2015 in question can be viewed at the following Internet locations:

4) My extreme fear of attending today's Court Hearing in Loughrea is
very closely linked to long-standing, and rapidly growing, concerns connected
with the general issue of impunity; and, an example of such publicly
expressed concern and unease can be seen in the text of the email I sent
to Republic of Ireland Chief Police Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan on
February 22nd 2015, which is on display at the www address immediately
below:

Other matters which leave me feeling extremely fearful of attending
today's Court in Loughrea include the following:

"Trial by Jury":

5) Although the Ballinasloe Day Hospital refused to provide me with a
copy of a "Psychiatric Core Assessment" relating to me which was
compiled on March 30th 2015, thanks to "The Freedom of Information Act",
and help from Siobhan Horkan (Portiuncula Hospital Assistant Director of
Nursing and Patient Advocate), a set of papers which included the
"Psychiatric Core Assessment" sheets, was made available to me at 4 pm
yesterday afternoon (April 7th 2015).
Scanned copies (in PDF format) of the set of medical papers in question can be
viewed at the following www location:

6) Myself, my brother (Gerald Finnerty), and my half-sister (Marjorie
Dolan) went to the Office of
Hogan & Co (Law Firm) in Ballinasloe last Sunday (April 5th
2015), and pushed an envelope containing a signed copy of the
email at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/JudgeJefferyBrowne/2April1915/Email.htm
(together with some other related papers) through the letter-box of
Hogan & Co (Law Firm) in Ballinasloe. Yesterday afternoon (April 7th
2015), my brother telephoned Hogan & Co and spoke with lawyer Brendan
Glynn. It is my understanding that Brendan Glynn undertook to either be
in Loughrea District Court today himself, or, to arrange for a lawyer
colleague of his to be there: for the purpose of providing support for
my brother and half-sister.

following www location:

Later today I will also provide my brother and half-sister with a signed
printout of this email-letter for them to take to Loughrea
District Court on my behalf.
Yours sincerely,
William Finnerty
