"The Old Bog Road"
Lyrics by
Teresa Brayton & Music by
Madeline
O'Farrelly ...
=== ===
"My
Mother died last springtime,
When Ireland's fields were green.
The neighbours said her
Waking
Was the finest ever seen.
There were snowdrops and primroses
Piled high above her bed,
And
Ferns
Church was crowded
When her funeral Mass was read.
And here was I on
Broadway
Building bricks by load,
When they carried out her coffin
Down the Old Bog Road.
Ah! Life´s a weary puzzle,
Past finding out by man;
I´ll take the day for what it's worth,
And do the best I can.
Since no one cares a rush for me
What need is there to moan?
I'll go my way and draw my pay
And smoke my pipe alone.
Each human heart must bear its grief,
Though heavy be the load:
So God be with you, Ireland,
And the Old Bog Road."

UPDATE #2 (April 15th 2014):
Please Note:
The text in the section just below formed the final part of the
message-text on an e-mail sent yesterday (April 14th 2014) to Republic of
Ireland President Michael D. Higgins. Mindful of his very recent
"State Visit" to the UK, and of the general type of
"things were never better for all
of the people now living in our part of the world" stance he
appeared (to me) to be portraying in public during the visit, yesterday's
e-mail was copied to the British Monarchy, and to several other
people as well (using the same e-mail). A copy of the full text of the
e-mail in question can be viewed at:

False/Misleading Legal Advice
...
At a meeting on June 30th 2005, UK lawyer
Adrian O'Kane (of Law Firm Patrick Fahy & Co in
Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland) advised William Finnerty, in the
presence of UK Senior Social Worker Gerard Madden, that there were only
two legal courses of action for dealing with an extant warrant for the
arrest of William Finnerty in the Republic of Ireland, which were: 1)
that William Finnerty return to the Republic of Ireland and attend a
"Trial-by-Judge Kangaroo Court" (please see "Note A"
just below) to face the
criminal charge he was accused of, or, 2) that William Finnerty spend
the remainder of his life living in forced exile outside of the Republic
of Ireland jurisdiction. (In preparation for the June 30th 2005 meeting, the
June 23rd 2005 e-mail reproduced at
http://www.constitutionofireland.com/PrimeMinisterAhernEmail27June2005.htm
was sent to Adrian O'Kane, which, despite the fact he had seven days to
consider the contents, he insisted on completely ignoring everything about
them throughout the approximately 60 minutes of discussion which took place
on June 30th 2005 at the offices of Patrick Fahy & Co.)
Note A (referred to in paragraph just above):
"I consider
Trial by Jury as the
only anchor yet imagined by man, by which a government can be
held to the principles of its constitution".
(This extremely important
statement, the written origins of which can be traced back to
Ancient Athens (circa 500 BC), was made by former President of the Republic of the
United States of America
Thomas Jefferson.)
Lawyer Adrian O'Kane failed -- completely -- to point out that there was
at least one other crucially important legal option for dealing with the
extant arrest warrant problem: which was to persuade the Republic of
Ireland Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) to fully and
completely
abandon its extremely serious corruption and crime-ridden attempts to
criminalise William Finnerty in connection with his ongoing efforts to
legally challenge the unconstitutional legislation used to construct a
Celtic Waste/Greenstar "Super Dump" near his home in East County Galway,
which is referred to in the An Bord Pleanala Appeal dated February 21st,
2004 at the following www location:
http://www.finnachta.com/ BordPleanalaAppeal.htm
A related Application for Legal Aid, which was criminally refused
by the Republic of Ireland Government, to challenge Government plans for the above-mentioned
unconstitutional Celtic Waste/Greenstar "Super
Dump" in East County Galway can be viewed at the following address:
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/AnnMarieKelly/LegalAidApplication/3November2004.htm
In the event, the Republic of Ireland Government did
actually decide -- albeit
over three years after the above mentioned meeting of
June 30th 2005 with lawyer
Adrian O'Kane -- to abandon their treasonous efforts to
criminalise William Finnerty in response to his attempts to legally
challenge unconstitutional legislation produced by the Republic of
Ireland Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial): as evidenced
by the contents of the scanned letter dated July 2nd 2008 from
Superintendent Enda Walshe to Gerard Madden at the following www
location:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/SuperintendentEndaWalshe/2July2008/Letter.htm
Useful as the Superintendent Walshe letter of July 2nd 2008 at the www address
immediately above was to William Finnerty, the Republic of Ireland
Government nevertheless persists with its absolute refusal to provide
William Finnerty with
"THE RIGHT TO REPARATION/GUARANTEES OF NON-RECURRENCE"
United Nations procedures
referred to in the e-mail dated October 29th
2012 to Dr John Kilraine (William Finnerty's present GP) at:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DrJohnKilraineGP/29October2012/Email.htm
William Finnerty's very lengthy, and very thorough,
research into the C-PTSD (Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
injuries he continues to suffer very badly from, which have been caused
by the fact that the Government of the Republic of Ireland has been
committing serious crime against him for many years --
with 100%
impunity -- means that he cannot recover from the psychological
and financial injuries caused: unless the
United Nations
"RIGHT TO REPARATION/GUARANTEES OF NON-RECURRENCE"
procedures are applied in his particular case. Additional information
relating to this matter can be viewed in the text of the
registered
letters sent to Clinical Psychologist Niamh Gralton and former
Republic
of Ireland Prime Minister Brian Cowan, which is reproduced at the following www location:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DrAnneJeffers/5October2009/Email.htm
Please also see the scanned copy of the July 10th 2008 e-mail printout
handed to Niamh Gralton by William Finnerty on August 20th 2009 at:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/ClinicalPsychologistNiamhGralton/20August2009/EmailCopy.htm

Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try.
No hell below us,
Above us only sky.
Imagine all the people,
Living for today ...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do.
Nothing to kill or die for,
And no religion too.
Imagine all the people,
Living life in peace ...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one;
I hope someday you'll join us,
And the world will be as one.
Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can.
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man.
Imagine all the people,
Sharing all the world ...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

Crime is crime, and government crime is government crime.
In the case of the
Republic of Ireland, having due regard for the potential -- if used
responsibly -- of the powerfully protective presence of the "Tripartite
Separation of Powers" facility that is deeply embedded into the
fabric of Bunreacht
na hEireann, for the primary purpose of preventing "The Government"
of the Republic of Ireland from committing serious crimes against
"The People" of the Republic of Ireland, extremely serious crimes
of the kind its Governments have been involved in
for the past several years -- both by deed, and perhaps much more so by
omission in many instances -- all continues to be sustained, and steadily added to
by new criminal abuses of "the people" from time to time: by all of the three main
branches of its recent Governments: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.
