President of the Republic of
Ireland
By William
Finnerty
Preparations for the next
presidential election in the Republic of Ireland have
begun.
::::::::
On
September 9th 2010 Fergus Finlay, Chief Executive of Bernardos (Ireland),
made public the fact that he is interested in becoming
the next President of the Republic of Ireland.
In
an effort to try to ensure that a certain set of very
closely related issues, which I believe it is extremely
important to have aired in public during the next
presidential election campaign in the Republic of
Ireland, I sent Fergus Finlay an e-mail last Thursday,
which was copied to (among others) an international
selection of senior politicians, lawyers,
psychiatrists, and academics, and which
can be viewed at the following address: http://www.humanrightsireland.com/LeslieMorgan/9September2010/Email.htm
The closely related set of issues referred
to above include 1) unconstitutional
legislation, 2) government bullying, 3)
impunity for
all of the perpetrators involved in connection with
C-PTSD injuries caused by the government bullying in
question, 4) the total refusal
(to date) of the legal profession to use human
rights legislation already in place (and directly based
on the United Nations Universal Declaration of
Human Rights) to
protect the targets of such government abuse, and
5) the very difficult to understand
claims of consultant psychiatrists, and the
closely associated medical doctors, social workers, and
psychologists who are part of their teams, that there
is nothing they can do about this whole overall
situation: other than to help the targets of the
completely unlawful and socially
destructive government abuse in question "to
cope" with it.
Allowing for the above, my hope is that the
next President of the Republic of Ireland will
a) do much more than President Mary
McAleese (the present president) to prevent
unconstitutional legislation, and
unconstitutional activities of the kind
associated with such invalid legislation, and
b) do much more to
support and protect people who, like myself, try to
resist and challenge such extremely
serious abuses of high public office.
Some
specific information relating to the general problem (during recent years) of
unconstitutional legislation in the Republic of
Ireland can be viewed at the following
