ARTICLE 6.1 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
Some thoughts that might usefully be kept in mind by voters in the Republic of Ireland today (Friday, February 26th 2016)?
First among them: "We, the people" of the Republic of Ireland need to get back the CORE LEGAL RIGHT that "we, the people" of the Republic of Ireland have -- UNLAWFULLY -- had taken away from us, do we not?

Article 6.1 of Bunreacht na hÉireann, is the "Ace of Hearts (for 'the people')" of the SUPREME LAW of the Republic of Ireland:

The Tripartite Division of Powers of the Republic of Ireland Government ...
Using the words of Dublin based barrister and law-lecturer Brian Doolan (from his book titled "Principles of Irish Law", on Page 11 of the Fifth Edition), the core expectation of abiding by the tripartite separation of powers doctrine is that the "Abuse of power by (any) one (of the three main branches of government) can be checked by (any one or both of) the others, and tyranny, hopefully, is prevented".'

So why is it, that for the past two decades or so (at least), in connection with a long string of exceptionally important social issues for "the people" of the Republic of Ireland, such as the "MULTI BILLION EUROS BANK BAILOUT" for example, ALL of the three main branches of the Republic of Ireland Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) have been ACTING AS ONE regarding the wholly UNLAWFUL practice of USURPING the Bunreacht na hEireann (Constitution of the Republic of Ireland) Article 6.1 SUPREME LAW RIGHT of "the people" to have the "final" say in deciding "all questions of national policy, according to the requirements of the common good." ???
Article 6.1 of Bunreacht na hEireann reads (in full) as follows:
"All powers of government, legislative, executive and judicial, derive, under God, from the people, whose right it is to designate the rulers of the State and, in final appeal, to decide all questions of national policy, according to the requirements of the common good."
GOVERNMENT USURPATION:

With Greece in mind (home of democracy) ...
United States President Abraham Lincoln's MONETARY POLICY (a short set of statements reproduced in the section immediately below) is seen by some as one of the world's greatest and most important political declarations: not least because he actually managed to successfully put these ideas and principles into operation during his period in office, and proved -- beyond all doubt -- that they really did work in healthy, constructive, and socially benign ways in practice.

"Money is the creature of law, and the creation of the original issue of money should be maintained as the exclusive monopoly of national government. Money possesses no value to the state other than that given to it by circulation. Capital has its proper place and is entitled to every protection. The wages of men should be recognized in the structure of and in the social order as more important than the wages of money [interest]."
