"On
December 10, 1948 the General Assembly of the
United Nations adopted and proclaimed the
Universal
Declaration of Human Rights the full text of which appears
in the following pages. Following this historic act the
Assembly called upon all Member countries to publicize the
text of the Declaration and
'to cause it to be
disseminated, displayed, read and expounded principally in
schools and other educational
institutions, without distinction based on the
political status of countries or territories.'

Just a
thought?

Michelle
& Kevin:
Do you think it might help if "
The
Universal Declaration of Human Rights"
(United Nations) was
taught in our schools - as was originally envisaged and
suggested in
1948? (Please see the "
teaching"
and "
education" references to this point in the
"
Preamble" section of the document at
http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html
).
This question is partly prompted by the fact that
tomorrow is the
60th Anniversary of "The Universal
Declaration of Human Rights".
I often find myself
wondering when (if ever) this hugely important subject is
going to be taught to our children in our schools?
I
also often wonder of course what has prevented its
introduction up to now?
Sixty years seems to me to be a
very long time to delay regarding such a core-issue matter for
human society.

Anglo
Norman guile
by Toirdelbach Mon Dec 08,

Beware the Anglo Norman flair for
guile -- which time and again, and again, has been grossly
underestimated -- and which in addition to being highly
successful (from their viewpoint) is also ruthless in the
extreme, pitiless, and has no conscience.
Support
it, or even tinker with it, and you support their endless
cycles of social injustices and resulting armed conflicts:
plus of course all the closely associated misery and death
which has long been "part and parcel" of their now global
social system.
