Dear Geraldine,
Thank you for counselling
session you provided me with yesterday.
I feel I benefited a lot from
it.
Today, the thought has crossed my mind a few times that I failed (I
believe) to give you any kind of clear indication of where I'm "stuck" just now:
in relation to the whole legal mess I'm trapped in.
As it happens, the
place I'm stuck at (regarding legal progress) is, I feel, fairly well set out in
the copy of my recent e-mail to
Dr Maurice Manning at the following
address:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DrMauriceManning/15January2008/Email.htm
.
As I believe you said at one point yesterday that you would be contacting
Gerry Madden, you may wish to note that Gerry was among those the e-mail
at the above address was copied to.
Also, the Irish Times "
Dealing
with injustice" article by Dublin based psychologist
Marie Murray,
which I also mentioned to you yesterday, and which I identify very strongly
with, can be viewed at the following page:
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/MarieMurray19April2006/IrishTimesArticle.htm
.
As I understand it,
Dr McCavert hopes to be able to enlist the
services of a local psychologist for the purpose of producing a written report
relating to my particular case, which will take account (I hope!!) of the kind
of observations relating to the painful and damaging consequences of injustice
Ms Murray has described in her article. I also understand that Dr McCavert has
written to Gerry Madden recently for the purpose of trying to have this new
approach implemented.
When you and your colleagues are considering
whether or not I might benefit from the trauma therapy your organisation has to
offer, and whether or not it might be appropriate for you to provide me with
such treatment, I hope the above information will help you to
decide.
Kind regards,
William Finnerty.
