Behind all the "smoke and mirrors" type terms such as "derivatives," "hedge funds", "financial instruments," and so on, the really potent and fundamental weapon of financial mass destruction is: "misused leverage".

Contrary to what a great many people have very skilfully been hoodwinked into believing, "money" is not a commodity in limited supply: not by any stretch of the imagination; and, as is clearly indicated by all the soothing talk we are at present hearing of "billions for banking bailouts" here, there and everywhere all over the world -- and all from NOWHERE apparently!!

"By its own brand of money magic, the bank has created $90,000 out of thin air."
